BeerLog is a personal beer journal app that lets you log beers you've tried, scan barcodes, and share activity with friends.
Your data is used solely to provide the BeerLog service to you. We use it to:
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties. Your check-ins are visible only to your approved friends within BeerLog. We don't use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. See Diagnostic Data below for the limited operational data we record on our own server.
To diagnose bugs and decide when to retire old app versions, we record per device: a randomly-generated device identifier, the platform (iOS, Android, or web), the app version, the operating system version, and the time of your most recent activity. This data is stored only on our own server, never shared with third parties, and deleted when you delete your account.
Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database on a privately operated server. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. All communication between the app and the server is encrypted via HTTPS. Photos are stored on the server and are not accessible to the public.
Your data is retained for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time — see our account deletion page for instructions.
If you have questions about this privacy policy or your data, contact us at [email protected]. For general questions about using BeerLog, see our help & FAQ.
